It is cotton with a very high thread count which behaves like silk that has been developed by Liberty of London. It feels incredibly luxurious and is delightful to sew with.
UK shipping is included on all orders. If ordering from the EU or any other part of the world, there is a fee for shipping to your part of the world. There may be additional taxes and duties applied by your country’s government which are outside of our control, unfortunately.
We are passionate about preserving fabrics and giving them a second life, so often we are working with limited amounts. Therefore we can’t recreate multiple versions of the pictures. However, this results in a unique masterpiece.
Our fabrics will always be as described on the website, however, when we cut them out, we can’t exactly match the portion of pattern that you see on our photos.
As sharp needles and pins are required to make the artworks, we recommend that users are at least 12 years of age and supervised if you feel this is necessary.
The majority of our kits use French knots which can seem daunting, but are quite easy to master. The step-by-step instructions take you through how to complete them.
All fabric is pre-cut and you are supplied with all the embroidery thread that you will need. If you require an embroidery needle and pins, you can order these separately. We realise that not everyone will require these. And it is possible to purchase a simple, white frame, with a custom-cut mount to frame your finished art.
Depending on your ability, it could take approximately 3 – 4 hours, however, we realise that beginners will take a little longer but we anticipate that you could complete this in a day. It is the sort of project that you can pick up and put down.
Yes you can, and we would really love to see your finished pieces. If you upload a picture on Instagram using the hashtag #angemadeartpicture we will be able to see it. We are also developing a Facebook Group and you can share your photos there. Or alternatively just email us with your photos.
No, at this time patterns are sold as part of the kits.
Yes, we can supply a simple, white frame with a custom made mount that will fit your artwork perfectly. You can order these at checkout.
White is a timeless colour and, in the majority of cases, you can’t go wrong
Glass-fronted frames are difficult to post despite packaging securely so we have taken the decision to substitute it for a plastic front which has great transparency, so that you can be sure that your item will arrive in one piece and still look good.
We are looking into setting up workshops in Cheshire but these are not available as yet. However, we want all of our customers to be successful when they create their pictures so we have YouTube tutorials available.
